We had my daughter's birthday party at Frick Kids Art and it was perfect. The kids had a wonderful time making art and then playing in the yard. It's a great space and was super convenient and easy. Phyllis was wonderful to communicate with and is an excellent host. Highly recommend and am so glad to have them in the neighborhood.

Phillis and her team did an amazing job to celebrate my seven-year-old daughter’s birthday. They made a beautiful butterfly project that was framed to take home for their parents or their bedroom. My daughter told me this was the best birthday party she’s ever had. Thank you, Phillis , and the team for creating such a memorable experience. Joanna

I was here for observation-part of my student teaching program, I was in awe of how wonderful it was, the kids loved it so much, I was here on the last day of the program until January, and all the children were so sad to leave, you see how much they enjoy doing the projects and the joy it brings them, they have so much creative freedom to express themselves, The teachers as well Frick and Emily are so great. It was such a wonderful experience I got the pleasure of seeing!

We just had our daughter's 6th birthday at Frick Art Studio and had an absolute blast! If you are looking for a fun, unique party then Frick is the spot. Bonus points for getting to take home a high quality art project!

Love the camp and the instructors are always fantastic.

I had so much fun at this camp, the painting camp was my favorite! This is open to almost everyone which let my little cousin do the same camp as me and is such a great experience! 10/10 recommend!

Frick Kids Art is an exceptional art studio! My daughter LOVES going there and is always fascinated by the science of art. Ms. Frick is such a patient and kind teacher and promotes creativity within each individual student.

Frick Kids Art is a sweet little home studio that encourages big creativity in kids. Phyllis Frick makes so much available to the participants; using several mediums in one project, making use of recycled/ found objects as tools or materials, and introducing different styles. Our 6-year old daughter had her birthday party here with 6 other kids and it was such a perfect gathering! They all sat around and chatted and encouraged each other. She has also participated in week-long day camps, after school programs, and one-day camps. Each have been excellent! Phyllis is an excellent teacher and a responsive and adaptable business owner. Happy she’s in the neighborhood!

I collaborated with Phyllis on a major outdoor mural with middle school kids. It was amazing to see her inspire and affirm the kids to bring out the best in them. Wish I was a kid again, I'd love to be her student!

Frick Kids Art is an amazing program! Phyllis is so creative and encouraging and as a former public school teacher, she understands how to work with kids of varying levels and ages. She has even partnered with local businesses like Mathnasium where she does math inspired art projects on days off of school, such as Tangrams and Tessellation inspired projects. Phyllis is encouraging and helps bring out the artist in everyone. I highly recommend her program!!

My daughter took a series of art classes with Phyllis, and she absolutely loved the experience. Phyllis offered a very personalized approach to arts education, tailoring the art experience to the needs and interests of each student. We were very impressed with Phyllis' kindness and patience with all students. What a terrific art teacher!

Frick Kids Art is fantastic. Phillis brings so much energy and creativity to everything she does. My daughters (7 and 10) have felt inspired, supported, and challenged. The camps and after school programs are a wonderful part of Oak Park.

My 12 year old daughter Milly looks forward to her time working with Ms. Fricke. She tells me she feels creative and inspired when she is attending her well run art classes. Milly enjoys working with a seasoned artist who teaches each child to accept themselves and explore their creative gifts. We feel fortunate to have met such an expert who works so positively with kids. Milly and her friends love Ms. Fricke’s classes!

My daughter has been with Mrs. Frick for over two years, starting from group lessons to private ones. My daughter always enjoyed those lessons. She started to learn sketching a few months ago. I am very happy for her progress. We feel fortunate to have a great art teacher in the neighborhood!

We feel so lucky to have found Ms. Frick and her art classes! Her projects are adventurous and fun and often explore science and nature. She really supports the kids as artists. They come back from class feeling inspired and so proud of their work. Highly recommend her camps and classes.

Ms Frick is the best teacher...with kids AND adults! We met her at an outdoor fair in Galewood, and I kid you not our girls were at her table for OVER 2 hours! Since then we've been taking art classes and it's the highlight of our week! She encourages critical and creative thinking and classes are always well prepared with some insightful background, a bit of art history, practical instruction and very importantly... they're FUN! HIGHLY recommend! She's great!

Phyllis was attentive and amazing with my 6 year old daughter. It has sparked her artistic creativity and she looks forward to each session.
